Arts Help is proud to announce its partnership with TOward2030, the United Nations SDG Action Campaign, and Juxtapoz Magazine to launch the #TOwardTOmorrow Instagram competition. The competition invites artists of all ages to participate in one of two categories based on age, and create an artwork in response to one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Prizes are 1000 ERU of art supplies for under 18 Artists and 10,000 EUR for Artists over 18, and finalists will exhibit their work in a museum.
For each of the seventeen goals, a representative from a corresponding NGO will judge the goal’s submissions and help determine the winners. The judging panel spans various countries and interests, from activist Bill Shipsey with Art for Amnesty to the Sumatran Orangutan Society. When reviewing submissions, judges will consider each work’s merits concerning the SDGs and global activism. The deadline for submissions is June 12th, with Qualifying Artists announced the week of June 19th, and the winners selected by July 2nd.
In addition to cash prizes and exhibition opportunities, this competition provides invaluable exposure for emerging artists. Arts Help will prominently feature the winning works, and the social media accounts of all partnered organizations will promote the winners’ works.
