Having personally experienced how a lack of either keeps her from progressing her own goals, Mercedes believes Good Health & Well-Being possess the upmost influence over success. Therefore, if both are enhanced throughout the world, she thinks the collective power of happier, healthier minds coming together will naturally advance the other UN Development Goals.

MUSICAL ASPIRATIONS

Mercedes practiced piano for 15 years. During which she performed and competed, even completing her Royal Conservatory of Music exams. She dreamed of attending Juliard, that is, before she says reality sunk in. She still loves to play.

SELF-PROCLAIMED DEAL QUEEN

Mercedes is a self-proclaimed bargain shopper and lipstick connoisseur. Yes, her life is one big movie montaugue.

INTREPID TRAVELER

Every year Mercedes finds joy and solace in immersing herself in a completely new culture and country. For 2020, she has her eyes set on Okinawa, Rwanda and Egypt.
